Flavia Moraes is a film director, editor, producer, digital disruptor andinovator for brands and organizations in Brazil and abroad. For more than 21 years as the head of FilmPlanet (the company she created and had an impressive path through the National and International market of production within the operations of São Paulo, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Rio) she brought together the ideas, clients and talent to produce and direct more than three thousand commercials, films, TV series and concerts. Her work was seen by millions of people and involves major brands like Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Budweiser, Universal, TNT and Rock’nRio. She was one of the first Brazilian directors to join the Director’s Guild of America (D.G.A.) and has been honored with Cannes Lions, Clio, LIA, FIAPand other global awards. In 2012 she was recruited by RBSGroup/GloboTV as their Head of Innovation to lead its transformation from a traditional communication culture into a future-focused media company. She spearheaded an extensive worldwide study, “The Communication (R)evolution,” thatsynthesized insights and ideas about technology, communication and entertainment. This project culminated in a TEDx presentation. While at RBS, she also led the creation and launch of OCTO, an experimental and forward-thinking multimedia channel that melds new technology, social trends and traditional media. Currently based in Los Angeles, Flavia is exploring new projects and partnerships.
